About F.T.F.-Face The Facts-

F.T.F.-Face The Facts- Was Not Always Face The Facts:

In 2012 when guitarist, singer, and song writer David C. Hutto started the project he had little or no idea where he would take the project.  Mr. Hutto was in between projects, and he was at the time a session guitarist working with Producer and Engineer Jon Aliperto on a Rap/Rock project.  He was also playing guitar for two different church worship teams, and he was  riffing and writing new material.

In March of 2012, Drummer David A. Bruno, and Bassist Marcus A. Dominguez joined David for some session playing, and they began collaborating on the project.  David at the time called the fledgling group Zephaniah, after one of the prophets in the bible, but after extensive research he discovered there was a group named Zephaniah in Indianna, so it was back to the drawing board for a name.

During that time the group began recording and writing and trying to find their sound and style.  All of the band members had a very diverse taste in musical style, but they all agreed that they wanted to have a progressive, and melodic hard rock sound.  Still you can hear a texture of different stylistic approaches to their music.

After a year of writing, collaboration, and constant recording, they were still seeking out the final ingredient to bring the music to the next level.  Dave needed another guitar player, that had the right attitude, and ingredients to add to the mix.  He had been attending a new church called Simchat Torah Beit Midrash, this new church was reshaping his whole outlook on faith, and it was expanding his musical and lyrical direction.  He met Eddie Hildalgo there and shared a couple of songs off the demo with him.  Eddie then told him about his brother David Hildalgo, who was also into the hard rock and heavy metal style.  After meeting David Hidalgo joined the group, and began collaberating and throwing his unique sound and style of playing into the mix.

Soon After all the elements were in place, David C. Hutto changed the name of the band to F.T.F.-Face The Facts- the group began to hone in their talents, and began to create the music for their first EP release: Side Swiped.  They are continuing to write and play together, and they are planning on taking the message of God's Kingdom to the nations.

The band members all are inspired by musical influences and styles that are both secular and non-secular.  "We are not just another Christian Rock Band, we are a Kingdom Rock Band!"  Praise and worship is an important task for any Christian or Torah observant band, we also need to tell the truth and reach people.   You can't always do that with cookie cutter style music, you have to be direct, and yet write almost in parables like our Lord did during his sermon on the Mount.  Really what it is about is giving our fans good music, and telling them the truth, and helping them to recieve God's gift of Salvation, and becoming a citizen of his Kingdom, not a refugee or an outsider.

Change In Line Up 6/2/2014.

As of August 1, 2014 our line up has changed.  We have decided to add a missing link to our band, and provide the most unique and specialized sound to our band.

We have added Micheal Tripp a seasoned veteran drummer and vocalist to our line up, and now David A. Bruno is our lead vocalist.   David Hidalgo, David C. Hutto, and Marc Dominguez still retain their positions in the group.  Keep watching for more updates.
